"The South Yarra Soccer Club is the oldest remaining football (soccer) club in Victoria.
The was started in 1928 by the late Sandy Duff after he was people kicking a football in Fawkner Park as they walked home from a fishing trip.
To this day the club still wears the famous red and white striped uniform it adopted back when the club was first formed.
The club currently boasts 6 senior mens teams, 2 womens teams and 11 junior teams in various levels of competition.
As the club continues to grow and the need to communicate and interact with their players, supporters, members and sponsors increased, the committee thought the easiest way to achieve this would be by adopting some form of new techonology.
After a lengthy process and assessing all of their options the South Yarra Soccer Club is pleased to announce the release of their very first ever native mobile phone app for the iPhone!
We have no doubt that if Sandy Duff was alive today, he would have been all for this venture. This is a gigantic leap forward in to the world of mobile phone apps and the club are extremly excited with the release of the app.
The app will be fully branded in the famous red and whte colours of the club and the content available in the app will be about the South Yarra Soccer Club.
